In the period from 12 to 6 thousands years before Christ, microliths (small rectangular, subrectangular and triangular silicon plate) are widely distributed.. By mounting microliths, with the help of resinous substances in the split of wooden handles, the ancient people created various instruments, including knives. There are known thin short double-edged silicon plate, being the edges of knives, serving for thin operations, and powerful long (about 15,0 cm), slightly curved silicon knives, used, obviously, in hunting.

Stone knives of Tripolie's culture are originaly silicon bladed - extended, double-edged, symmetric or wide and arc-form. Handles - were produced from the bones of animals and probably  killed enemies; with such anatomical formations as joint heads etc, used like pommels.
