Dan and Pam Delevan
Here are the Pics for the Blade Show West. There's pics of Buck knives display, Richard and Sally Rogers, Mick Stryder from Stryder knives, and Dan and Pam Delevan. Blade Show West this year was an exciting experience. Having changed the location to the Hyatt Regency Irvine this year, there was a lot uncertainty on the makers part as to if sales would be off. Well the show came and went, and much to everyone's relief not only did the show stay alive and well, but seemed to thrive at it's new location.
The Hyatt Regency not only added class to this long standing knife show, but also seemed to draw in an affluent crowd, so a lot of the more expensive pieces sold well. Everyone involved had a great time, makers and attendees alike. The staff of Blade Magazine was, as usual, very organized and helpful. Mary Lutz of Blade was there as well, making sure everything ran smoothly and keeping everyone happy. A job, I'm sure at times, that can be very difficult. :-)

The banquet held for the makers on Saturday night was superbly done, with a delicious spread of great food. There was even some impromptu live entertainment when National professional yo yo champ Julius ( affectionately referred to as the yo yo guy) performed some of his mind blowing tricks for the delighted audience.
The awards handed out included one for Richard Rogers miniature folder, a piece that required great skill and even more patience to make. At the end of the show, the room was filled with satisfied makers as well as patrons who had come to stay for the full 3 days, not wanting to miss any of the many seminars and demonstrations also being held at the show.
