The Dawson Gang
Here are the pictures I took at the Bakca show this year. They are of Barry and I, George and Vivian Cummings, Don and Katrina Maxwell, and Vince and Grace Evans. I'm sorry the pictures aren't of better quality, I didn't think I'd be using them for anything besides reminiscing, so I used a disposable camera. Next time, I'll use a better camera. :-)
I took the pictures on Sunday afternoon, mostly because on Saturday it was so busy I couldn't get away from my table! I had taken a picture of the entire ballroom were the show was held, but it turned out too dark to make out much.:-(

Barry and I had a great time at this show, and despite the club having moved to a new location at the Hyatt Rickeys in Palo Alto this year, it turned out to be the best show in recent memory for all the makers. A lot of the customers I spoke with also commented to me that they preferred the new location to the old one, as most of them lived only a few miles away! The club had record attendance this year, Saturday was so busy most of the makers didn't even have time to eat lunch!
It was also great to see some of our old friends from the Bakca club, including treasurer Ed Goodwin. We saw these guys working non-stop from beginning to end to make this show the best yet, and they did a great job. There was also a great selection of pieces to choose from, anything from Vince Evans beautifully done swords to Striders tactical knives, to the display of knives and swords used in blockbuster movies. All in all it was a great show with a lot of interesting, beautiful and affordable pieces.
