Wakisashi

"Wakisashi with Shinto period fittings and shinto or possibly Koto period signed blade. Single peghhole (mekugi-ana).

Blade

"Blade is Bizen type and 20 inches long with curvature of 1/2 inch.

Tsuka

Tsuka is cotton cord wrapped over rayskin with nice menuki.



Yakiba

Hamon is wide and handsome in mixed notare/gonome style. Edge is chipped and damaged from misuse.


Tsuba

Tsuba is round and 1/8 inch thick iron with indistinct copper floral decoration. Only one seppa is present. Fushi and kashira are iron.

Boshi

The blade features a healthy boshi of medium length.
