This is a true beauty, Damascus and a beautiful Stingray skin combined in a sleek fighting package! A refreshing take on a traditional design, the Cook Tanto is sophisticated and elegant without losing it's history. This beautiful fighter is made from high contrast DAMASCUS, which has been forged using 5160, 15N20, 52100 and Nickel, and is as strong as it is beautiful. Gorgeous steel, and very strong. The guard is generous, and and can accomodate even the meatiest of hands. The balance of this piece is amazing, you can see this is a first rate custom knife. You have to see this beauty in person to appreciate all of the attention to detail, this knife is certainly a high quality handmade! The handle over the scale tang is Japanese wrapping, a beautiful and unique style of intricate wrapping that only a handful of makers in the US can perform. When ordering please specify what type of handle material you'd like on your custom Cook knife, Dennis works in everything from rare Ivory and bone to natural woods. Dennis has also accented the Japanese wrapping with black Stingray skin, a beautiful and extremely tough natural material known for it's strength. The sheath is a handmade Kydex sheath, made to be worn horizontally on the belt. The sheath has been hand fitted, to protect the life and beauty of the knife. This particular sheath design is very versatile, and can be changed to be worn upright, behind the back, or in the boot.
